About XML Sitemaps
An XML sitemap is a file that lists the important pages of a website, helping search engines like Google and Bing discover and crawl your content more efficiently. Each URL can include optional metadata such as the date it was last modified, how often it changes, and its relative priority.
The sitemap follows the protocol defined at http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9. After generating your sitemap, save it as sitemap.xml, upload it to the root of your website, and submit it through Google Search Console or reference it in your robots.txt file.
