Definition and Usage
The ceil()
function rounds a number UP to the nearest integer.
The ceil()
function is defined in the <cmath>
header file.
Tip: To round a number DOWN to the nearest integer, look at the floor() function.
Tip: To round a number to the nearest integer in either direction, look at the round() function.
Syntax
One of the following:
ceil(double number);
ceil(float number);
Parameter Values
